one of my favorite is the song Rather Stay in Bed, I think the album was Sunrise and Sarcasm... I reminds me of the Irving Belin's song Oh How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning, from the movie This is the Army

Good ear — you caught that. Rather Stay in Bed was absolutely done in the spirit of Irving Berlin’s “Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning” from This Is the Army. I wasn’t trying to copy it, of course, but I definitely leaned into that same playful, theatrical, slightly over-dramatic morning misery vibe.

as for navigating the site, it is fairly easy, but the mix is a bit eclectic in each collection, it might be better, to arrange in order of genre???

I know — and that makes total sense. The thing is, the collections really reflect whatever mood I’m in when I’m creating. I tend to post the music in the order it comes to life, so each section ends up feeling like a snapshot of that creative moment rather than a strictly organized genre lineup.
