Pō Whenua Rangi is a Māori‑inspired atmospheric chant album rooted in the elemental forces of night, land, and sky. The tracks move with a ceremonial pulse—deep rhythmic foundations, rising vocal lines, and spacious textures that echo the cadence of ancestral presence without imitating traditional forms. Each piece captures a moment of transformation, shifting between shadow and light, stillness and movement, as voices and percussion intertwine in a modern, cinematic interpretation of Polynesian‑influenced sound.
Crafted through a blend of human direction and digital generation, the album grew from guiding ideas of mood, rhythm, and elemental imagery. Every track was shaped by selecting, refining, and sequencing performances to create a cohesive journey—one that honors Māori inspiration while remaining contemporary, original, and intentionally atmospheric. Rather than recreating historical music, Pō Whenua Rangi curates a world where chant, breath, and environment merge into a unified, immersive experience.
