My poetry and songs are born from a life both challenged and inspired. After surviving several strokes, Requiem Aeternam became a meditation on mortality, memory, resilience, and the enduring light that continues to shine beyond life's darkest seasons.

Would Anybody Know - I reflect on the possibility of dying and wonder whether anyone would notice or remember me once I'm gone. The song reflects on the fear of disappearing from the world without leaving a meaningful mark, questioning what remains of a life after death.

Fixin' to Die Rag - This song is about me facing the reality that I won't live forever, but refusing to let that stop me from enjoying life while I still can. With humor, stubbornness, and a healthy disregard for gloomy predictions.

The Last Goodbye - is about the universal human struggle to accept mortality, even though death is something no one can ultimately avoid. It reflects on the lives we build, the love and memories we leave behind, and the hope that beyond the fear of saying goodbye, there is peace when our journey comes to an end.

When the Road Runs Out - is about the truth that while most people fear death and struggle to let go of the lives they have built, mortality is a journey everyone must eventually face. It reflects on the memories, love, and legacy we leave behind, suggesting that although death is inevitable, there may be peace and something beyond the end of life.

The Road of the Morning Light - is about a person approaching death with acceptance rather than fear, seeing the end of life as a journey already unfolding before them. Through images of a road, dawn, and final destinations, it reflects on finding peace, meaning, and readiness as the darkness of life gradually gives way to the approaching end.

The Life I Never Lived - I reflect on approaching death and the painful regret of a life shaped by fear, missed opportunities, and words left unsaid. As my time runs out, I am forced to face the relationships I neglected, the chances I never took, and the realization that I could have lived more fully if I had been brave enough to try.

Closer Than I Knew - is about my changing perspective as I approach death, finally recognizing the beauty, value, and fragility of life that I once took for granted. Knowing my time is limited, I begin to cherish each day, each loved one, and each breath as precious gifts rather than assuming there will always be more tomorrows.

The Hardest Things to Say - is about my regret over the opportunities I missed with my daughters while assuming there would always be more time. As I near the end of my life, I realize that some of my greatest losses were the moments I didn't share, the love I didn't express enough, and the memories we never got to make together.

Blessed All Along - is about me nearing the end of my life and finally recognizing that my true legacy was never found in my struggles or accomplishments, but in the family I raised and the generations that followed. As I look at my daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, I find peace in knowing that a part of me will live on

Shadows Seem Closer - is about me feeling the nearness of death in every passing mile, every sleepless night, and every fading dream, as the shadows of the end slowly gather around me. Though I am exhausted by life's burdens and haunted by my own mortality, a faint light in the darkness keeps calling me forward, urging me to take one more breath and face one more dawn before the journey is over.

Life Has Already Been Enough - is about me being worn out by life's struggles and completely at peace with the idea that death will come when it's ready, no longer feeling the need to cling to one more day. Having lived through the highs, lows, losses, and lessons, I don't fear the end or rush toward it, I simply feel ready for the journey to be finished whenever my name is called.
